London police are looking to speak with the owner of a pit bull after a girl was bitten on the leg while walking along Dundas Street, Wednesday (Sept. 9).

The girl, and 18-year-old female, was walking in the area of Dundas Street at Ashland Avenue when a male approached her walking west with a pit bull on a leash at around 11:45 p.m.

"As the male passed, the dog lunged at the female and bit her on the leg causing minor injury," police said.

Police have been unable to locate the owner of the dog to verify vaccination records and would like the male who was walking the dog to contact them.

Anyone with any information is asked to call London police at 519-661-5670 or contact Crime Stoppers online (see link), or call 1-800-222-TIPS.
