London bridge is closing down LondonTopic.ca 09/17/2009 One of London's busier bridges will be closing down for construction for at least a two-day period starting Saturday (Sept. 19). The Norman A. Bradford Bridge on Oxford Street between Wharncliffe Road and Talbot Street is set to go under construction starting Saturday at 6 a.m., until Monday (Sept.21) at 6 a.m. The actual construction period is weather dependent. City officials are advising the public that traffic flow over the well-used bridge will be rerouted: * Eastbound traffic will be directed south on Wharncliffe Road, east on Riverside Drive and King Street, North on Richmond Street to Oxford Street. * Westbound traffic will be detoured south on Richmond Street, west on Queens Avenue and Riverside Drive, North on Wharncliffe Road to Oxford Street.
