London police are looking for this Teletubby, Tinky Winky, or the man who was dressed as the children's character and robbed a woman at gunpoint, Sunday morning (Nov. 1).
They're soft, lovable and a big hit with the little ones, but now one of the preschool, fab-four – those adorable Teletubbies – is wanted after a woman was robbed at gunpoint near London's core early Sunday (Nov. 1).

Of course it wasn't really Tinky Winky who robbed the lone female who was walking in the area of Talbot Street at Mill Street just after midnight on Halloween (Nov. 1), but a male suspect who was dressed as the purple and largest Teletubby.

Police said the suspect, "who was dressed as a purple Teletubby," brandished a black handgun and demanded money.

"The suspect fled on foot southbound with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported," police said.

In addition to being dressed as Tinky Winky, the suspect is described as a white male, 6'2" tall, 200-240 lbs, short dark hair, clean shaven, muscular build.

Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to call London police at 519-661-5670 or contact Crime Stoppers online (see link) or call 1-800-222-TIPS.

Comments:
As supposedly amusing as the concept is, the reality is a woman had a gun pulled on her and was robbed. Does LondonTopic and those who oversee it's editing honestly believe such an occurrence should be treated with such irreverence? It's not a joke nor is it funny, just another example of the endemic problem plaguing this city.

Relax.... I'm sure this lady is quite upset about this, but I'll bet my lunch money she will always have an amusing story to tell at parties now. I think if this happen to me, after the initial shock and fear of being robbed.. you would have to find the humor in this. This picture actually makes me like Londontopic MORE!

This picture is hilarious! Why would anyone rob someone in a Tinky Winky costume? Did you notice Dipsy's hands up?

Emily did you even care to read the article? It was an individual dressed as Tinky Winky that is the suspect

Bob you're right! Robbery is a disturbing new trend in society! We have to take it super seriously if we want to stop robbery forever! There is nothing remotely funny about a man dressed as a random gay children's character robbing a woman, and then trying to run down the street in a gigantic purple suit. Bob is a genius.
