Senior facing drugs and weapons charges

A 70-year-old male suspect is facing multiple charges after a drug raid by the London police Guns and Drugs Section and the RCMP Drug Section, last week.

Police executed a search warrant at around 2 p.m., to a Crossley Hunter Line residence in Belmont and found oxycodone and morphine valued at $15,390.

Officers also seized $1,123.17 in cash, a 2008 Chevrolet truck and a loaded .22 calibre Mossberg rifle.

Lynn Jack Hepworth, 70,of Belmont, is charged with two counts of possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of morphine for the purpose of trafficking, unsafe storage of a firearm, unsafe storage of ammunition, storage of a firearm contrary to regulations and possession of a firearm without being the holder of a licence or registration.

Wonder if he was selling pills to compensate for a lack of a pension....or he was like many people that got hosed in the Stock Market crash last year and the holding company directing his Pension plan collapsed...or do we have to be wary of all old people now.....bunch of lawless geriatric thugs dealing drugs terrorizing our streets...I might not feel safe again walking threw Cherryhill Mall .I might get thumped by some Blue Hair gang members making plans for a drive by shooting with a Davey Crocket Musket.
