Hey marijuana grow ops are the new economy....Mom and Pops growing a bit to help pay the rent and put food on the table or young unemployed males in a city with no gainful job prospects....Perhaps legalizing and taxing it will pull Ontario`s economy out of the ground and open up for a new Industry that is self sustainable.....Lord knows the elected leaders are not doing anything to get Ontario back to work. They make sure their OPSEU friends and funding fellows get theirs first while Ontario families line up for hand outs at the food bank.LTC strike doesn't help either...I saw a Mother with an infant hitchhiking from the grocery store today with formula and diapers....thankfully some kind soul picked her up eventually.

Hey, young unemployed male, get a real job. Your attitude stinks. I suppose it's more fun growing marijuana than doing any kind of real physical labor. And don't tell me there are no job if you really want to work. There are enough people living with drug problems already without adding marijuana grow ops to the pool. This city doesn't want this kind of garbage. Go somewhere else if that's what you think the economy needs.

hey, who's the one with the bad attitude? it seems to me he was being positive saying we should move weed out of the basements of drug dealers and legalize and tax it. This would severely reduce the real crime associated with such a tame thing as smoking weed, and would create tons of jobs. I think you are closed minded, and the city doesnt need your opinions. If you go to the LCBO then you're 10x worse that someone who wants to relax and smoke a joint. Its laughable how much worse alcohol is for you and yet its legalized. The criminalization of weed is ridiculous, especially when theres shootings almost every day in toronto, cops have more important things to do than worry about a little bit of farming. Also it seems to me like 160$ cash is silly for someone who had almost 200 plants in their house. Sounds to me like the cops might be lining their pockets.

so the grow op was valued at $193,00 and yet they only found $160 in the house?? seems kinda fishy...i guess cops aren't clean either
