15-year-old suspect tries to snag cop's gun

A 15-year-old male tried to remove a police officer's handgun from the holster while being arrested for a series of break and enters in the city's northwest, Friday (Nov. 20).
The youth, who was located in the Hunt Club Drive area after police were called to the scene at around 10 a.m., on reports of break and enters, is facing multiple charges in connection with the arrest.
When officers arrived in the area of Hunt Club Drive and Manchester Road, break and enters were discovered at two residences.
Police said a citizen in the area observed a male suspect trying to break in to a home on Fitzwilliam Boulevard. Officers were able to locate the suspect and make the arrest.
"During the arrest the male attempted to remove the officer's holstered handgun. Stolen property was recovered," police said.
A 15-year-old male, of London, has been charged with two counts of break and
enter, attempted break and enter, failing to comply with a recognizance
and attempting to take a weapon in the possession of a peace officer.
