A 15-year-old male is facing charges of arson after the occupants of a south London home woke up to find a fire had been set on their front porch, Saturday (Nov. 21).
Police said four people were asleep inside their residence when one awoke to the smell of smoke, just before 7:30 a.m., and the fire on the porch was discovered.
"The four occupants inside of the residence were able to escape without injury. The London Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire," police said.
As a result of the subsequent investigation, police arrested a male they believe is responsible for the fire at a London residence at around 3:45 p.m., the same day.
A 15-year-old male of London is charged with arson, having disregard for
human life and with uttering threats.
