UPDATE: Police charge suspects in cemetery bronze theft

Two Brantford men have been charged in relation to the theft of 170 bronze vases from an east London cemetery over the weekend.

The theft of the vases from Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens occurred sometime between Friday evening (June 13) and early Monday morning (June 16) when staffed discovered the vases, valued at $30,600, were missing from various grave sites.

Police said they recovered 135 of the stolen vases but the investigation is ongoing as 35 vases are still missing.

The two suspects were arrested in Brantford Tuesday afternoon (June 17), police said.

Jeffrey Bunn, 29, has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and once count of possession of stolen property under $5,000. Aaron Hobberlin, 22, has been charged with theft over $5,000 and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
