Decent Hotels for a Smooth Trip

There is plenty to do in Ontario and finding decent hotels in Edmonton can make sure your trip is smooth. Nothing can ruin a trip faster than a bad stay at a hotel. If you want to read more specifically about hotels in Edmonton click here. If you enjoy visiting London, Ontario, you will love visiting Edmonton. If you love hockey, you will love visiting Edmonton. If you like the night life, you will love visiting Edmonton. If you have a family, you will love visiting Edmonton. Basically, if you are a person, you will love visiting Edmonton. There is a ton of things to do in Edmonton no matter what you like to do.

You can visit the famous Edmonton zoo, you can visit museums, and you can go shopping by day and dancing at night. Do you enjoy fine dining? Edmonton has a lot of that available. From diners to four-star restaurants you won’t go hungry when visiting Edmonton. Do you like ice skating? Edmonton is known for its beautiful outdoor skating rinks and most of them are free to use if you have your own skates. They are usually open until midnight and are great fun for the family. If you aren’t quite sure what to do on your trip, ask the concierge at your hotel for some ideas. They should have a list of attractions and places of interest that fit your desires and budget.

A lot of hotels even have a list of attractions and places to visit on their website, for example, www.ramadaedmonton.com has a complete list of places to eat and attractions to see that you can use to plan your trip before you even hit the road. Before you book your hotel, make sure you look online for coupon codes, and don’t be afraid to call the hotel directly and ask for a discount. A lot of times the front desk employees are authorized to give up to 20% discounts over the phone and even if they aren’t they are always authorized to upgrade rooms to suites if they are available. I personally like to order package deals and then ask for either a discount or some sort of upgrade to the package purchased. Hotels love throwing in free meals or tickets to a local attraction, which works great for families looking for things to do while maintaining a budget.

The lesson to take away from this is that there is always a better deal out there to be had. You simply have to ask for it. The worst that can happen is that they will say no and you are stuck with something you already thought was worth buying. You’ll be surprised how often they say yes by lowering the price or by upgrading the package or adding to the package with tickets to an attraction. I am no natural salesperson but I would say 70% of the time I get some sort of bonus simply by asking. Lots of times that bonus is a discounted price on an already purchased hotel stay or package for my family.
